Tara Howley

Senior Coach, Facilitator

Tara is a senior coach, facilitator, and founding partner of AOA. She currently trains coaches and facillitators, coaches executives, facillitates workshops, and works with company culture, especially women’s empowerment.

Tara started working in PR for Karl Lagerfeld. Later, she fell in love with theatre. Obsessed with the human condition and how to portray it on stage, she studied psychology and somatics. When she started experiencing extreme anxiety, she focused on overcoming fear, studying every modality she could find. She took her learnings and started coaching other artists. During the dot-com era, she brought her work into sales teams. She worked with engineering teams, prepping them before conventions.

At 35, she left work to raise a family. Returning to work, she incorporated her parenting learnings into coaching.

Alexa Kistler

Senior Coach

Since childhood, I have been exploring how and what it means to be human; I parlayed a study of anthropology into an early career in product strategy consulting that took me around the world to interview thousands of people across many different walks of life. My job was to understand both their expressed wants and those which might otherwise remain unseen. The work of excavating these hidden realities and revealing them to decision-makers gave me an understanding of the kinds of things that people and businesses tend not to see or understand about themselves, and how that influences the decision-making issues that crop up again and again.

Since then, I've transitioned from helping businesses understand people to helping people understand themselves. My joy is highest from being along for the ride with a person or a couple on a path to greater freedom and alignment. I seek clients who are ready and willing to deeply challenge their current understanding of self, and to show up fully to doing the work of transformation.

Mina Lee

Senior Coach

Mina specializes in guiding founders and their teams and families through holistic and rapid transformation. She works with individuals, couples, co-founders, and groups.

Her approach blends diverse practices—including Chan (Zen), non-dual meditation, neuroscience, psychology, and grounded business strategies—with a deep sensitivity to cultural nuances and the ability to hold multiple perspectives. Her coaching and facilitation focuses on the deeper dynamics that shape human behavior and decision making.

With a career spanning BCG, the World Bank, founding her own company in NYC, and serving as acting COO for Xiaomi in Southeast Asia, Mina has navigated high-stakes environments and facilitated change within multiple companies. She searched for the biggest levers for change, how to execute without cutting off the heart, how to stop using knowing and control as a defense against intimacy, how to stop focusing on others as a way to avoid feeling herself, how to stop communicating wants and boundaries in a way that was creating more conflict, how to stop giving her power away to money …

These experiences taught her a profound truth: business is ultimately a reflection of the leader’s relationship with themselves. Mina helps clients explore this inner relationship—transforming patterns of shame, fear, obscured wants, and conditional self-worth—while addressing practical challenges to create meaningful and sustainable change.
